Gregory Community Church
Mission and Values
At Gregory Community Church we value:
United in Christian Love and empowered by prayer, Gregory Community Church proclaims the good news of Jesus Christ, practices Godly principles of living and provides care and compassion to all.
The Great Commandment: Jesus Said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
~Matthew 22:37-40
The Great Commission: Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
~Matthew 28:19-20
Providing Compassion and Comfort: Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.”
~2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Authentic Worship: “not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.” ~Hebrews 10:25 “Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.”
~Romans 12:1
Authentic Relationships: ~”And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. They worshipped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity – all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowhip those who were being saved.”
~Acts 2:44-47
Mission Work: “Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had arrogance, abundant food and careless ease, but she did not help the poor and needy.”
~Ezekiel 16:49
“For he will deliver the needy when he cries for help, the afflicted also, and him who has no helper. He will have compassion on the poor and needy, and the lives of the needy he will save. He will rescue their life from oppression and violence, and their blood will be precious in his sight;”
~Psalm 72:12-14
